I have wagered on millions of rounds of 21. I started sneaking into the gambling dens when I was still underage. I have enjoyed online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short time. With all that said I have still spent a lot of cash at twenty-one. The gambling dens have made it very hard to beat the house.

I still enjoy the game and wager on a regular basis. Over the years I have bet on a variation of twenty-one called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get flush with this method or beat the house, nonetheless you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is based on the idea that chemin de fer appears to be a match of runs. When you are hot your on fire, and when you’re not you are NOT!

I bet with basic strategy chemin de fer. When I do not win I bet the table minimum on the successive hand. If I lose again I wager the table minimum on the subsequent hand again etc. As soon as I hit I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I return the action back down to the original sum.

I am very disciplined and do not back out. It gets very enjoyable on occasion. If you win a few hands in a row your wagers go up very quickly. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200per hand. I have had fantastic streaks a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Flamingo a number of years back with $750 after 35 minutes using this tactic! And a few months ago in Sin City I left a table with $1200!

You have to understand that you can lose much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be aghast at the runs you see betting this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a five dollar table.

Wager 5 dollar
Take $5 paid to you, leave the initial $5 wager

Bet 5 dollar
Leave five dollar paid to you for a total wager of 10 dollar

Wager 10 dollar
Take $10 paid to you, leave the original ten dollar wager

Wager $10
Leave $10 paid to you for a total wager of $20

Bet $20
Take $20 paid to you, leave the original $20 bet

Wager twenty dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 40 dollar

Wager $40
Take forty dollar paid to you, leave the original $40 bet

Bet $40
Leave forty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 80 dollar

Wager $80
Take $80 paid to you, leave the original $80 wager

Bet eighty dollar
Leave $80 paid to you for a total bet of one hundred and sixty dollar

Bet 160 dollar
Take 160 dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 160 dollar wager

If you departed at this point you would be up $315 !!

It is herculean to go on a streak this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you must NOT alter and drop your wager or the final result will not be the same.
